Jeremy rediscovers his passion for photography

Just a few years ago, Jeremy was a proficient photographer and photo editor and at one point had worked in a photography environment.

Then Jeremy suffered a serious head injury which left him with memory loss, anxiety and a lack of confidence. He had forgotten many of the skills he had learnt, things which had been second nature.

Enter Jack, one of Cosmic’s digital trainers, to provide digital support. The two were an ideal pairing as Jack is well known in the Cosmic offices for being a bit of a photography and videography wiz, and through a series of 1:1 sessions together, Jack was able to help Jeremy relearn many of the aspects he had been struggling with digital photography and Adobe Photoshop.

Jeremy had become so proficient under Jack’s tutelage that he even offered to provide training session of his own to others on programme, imparting the knowledge to others that he had gained from Jack.

When asked about the learning journey, Jack said: “Using the resources available both online and in books, Jeremy proactively continued his learning at home between sessions. As a trainer I found this greatly rewarding as not only was it clear that the digital support being received was useful, but it allowed them to progress towards employment at a much faster rate than originally anticipated.”

Jeremy has found the confidence and skills to move on with his life after such a terrible event, and has since moved into employment thanks to the support from all partners involved with him on the Positive People project.
