For the last six weeks Pluss and many of its partners have been proudly running Plymouths first ever Feel Good Shop in the city centre.

The shop was a place for all. Whether it be a warm and welcoming cuppa and some advice, or a place to get involved in one of the many eclectic group sessions that were held there. It has been a safe place for people to come together.

A place where everyone is welcome to drop in, relax, get information and support on any area of life – from employment, health and wellbeing to digital support and connecting with others (and so much more) – all under one roof!

It can often be difficult knowing where to turn or where to begin, picking up the phone can be daunting and the light at the end of the tunnel can seem miles away. Having a hub to pop in to and chat to someone takes all of that away.

Not only this, but the shop front was filled with beautiful hand crafted pieces to buy and showcase what people throughout the project had produced.

The shop was officially opened by two local MP’s – Luke Pollard and Johnny Mercer, who came and helped complete the signs to go outside the door.

The sound of live music and excitable chatter could be heard throughout the open day. Accompanied by the aroma of delicious (and healthy!) fresh plant-based food from the Cosmic Kitchen.

The day was filled to the brim with fun, fitness, mindfulness, creativity and laughter right in the centre of the community!

So much hard work was put in to the shop to keep it moving along smoothly for the whole six weeks. This was from our partners, wonderful volunteers and all the people who joined in with hosting and taking part in activities. You are all superstars and we’re so grateful!
